The Project Webfoot Kit contains:

WOW! The Wonders of Wetlands

Published by Project WET and recommended by the National Science Teachers Association, WOW! is the most comprehensive curriculum guide available on wetlands today.

In addition to extensive background information on wetlands, wetland functions, and wetland conservation, the 330-page book offers more than 50 hands-on, multidisciplinary wetland-related activities that can be used to bring the wonders of wetlands to life for K-12 students. Learning levels and subject areas are listed for each activity. Also listed are the settings where the activities can be conducted (e.g., classroom or wetland), the duration of the activity, the skills sets the students will use as they participate, and key vocabulary words and concepts.

WOW! has been called, “the most comprehensive introduction to wetland issues and definitions” by the North American Association for Environmental Education.

Correlated to the National Standards for Science Education.

This PC-compatible CD-ROM, developed by the world-famous Cornell Lab of Ornithology, includes photos, songs, videos, maps, identification tips for the 60 species of North American waterfowl.

Teachers can use the CD-ROM to create customized quizzes--multiple choice, fill-in-the-blank, or flash card--for use in the classroom. There is also a Web link where students can track sightings of waterfowl for their class.
