Oconto County

Ducks Unlimited, the Wisconsin DNR and Lower Fox River/Green Bay Natural Resource Trustee Council cooperated to enhance 220 acres of Oconto Marsh. The project involved replacing a pump and water control structures and rehabilitating levees. These improvements will allow managers to manipulate water levels in order to maintain a mix of open water, emergent marsh, and sedge meadow for the benefit of waterfowl and other wetland-dependent wildlife.
